Stars flock to Gusto restaurant for opening night VIP party

It was a party with plenty of Gusto – as the latest new Italian restaurant in Manchester opened its doors to a host of celebrities and VIPs.

It’s the first city centre Gusto from the Living Ventures restaurant group, and they’ve lavished £1.3mn on the old Olive Press site on Lloyd Street to become a snazzy new eaterie with huge central bar and classic grand cafe interiors.

And the launch bash on Thursday night certainly brought out the crowds for the long-standing GS client – with a host of famous faces joining the revels, including rock stars Noddy Holder, the Stone Roses’ Mani, the Happy Mondays’ Rowetta and The Courteeners frontman Liam Fray.

The BBC Breakfast crew were in party mood – including presenters Charlie Stayt, Naga Munchetty, Mike Bushell and Steph McGovern.
