The ALMR Operations Managers Awards identifies the best Area Manager and Business Development Manager in managed and leased hospitality respectively. It is widely regarded as the finest, most rigorous test of a manager’s skill and determination, and the enthusiasm and dedication they bring to the outlets they support. The Awards are unique in recognising the expertise, insight and professionalism that the best operations managers bring to their businesses and to the industry.
Nick Bish, ALMR, comments: “We are exceptionally proud of the Awards and the talent pool of operations managers that lead success at the sharp end of our industry. It is this flair and aptitude that the Operations Managers Awards exists to recognise, celebrate and develop”.
Last year’s winners were announced at the ALMR Christmas Lunch in front of an audience of 1,200 industry peers who applauded Business Development Manager Caren Geering of Admiral Taverns and Area Manager Martha Ingham of Mitchells & Butlers. This year’s winners will be announced at a stand-alone ceremony taking place on 07 November, the same evening as the finals judging. The winners will then be presented at the 2016 ALMR Christmas Lunch on 15 December at Old Billingsgate, London.
Mentor Judge of the Awards programme and Managing Director of PHL Ventures Philip Lay said: “Over the past few years we have seen the Operations Managers Awards extend their reach into the wider areas of hospitality. It is now the pinnacle Awards for those in the late night, casual dining and branded sectors as well those within mainstream managed or leased businesses.
“This year we look forward to being able to showcase the exceptional talent that enter the Awards at their own event, which will enable a wider audience to support their managers”.
The Awards are supported by the sector’s leading operators and suppliers. On behalf of these Patrons Paul Chase of CPL Training, commented:
“The Awards say so much about the individual nominated and of course about the company that they work for. It says that they recruit well, they support their employees and they actively promote their individuals to be the best in their field with internal as well as external training. We look forward to seeing another great field of Operations Managers coming forward for the 2016 Awards”.
