Team MAX Power tackles triple cycle charity challenge this summer

GS staff are tackling a hat trick of tough cycling challenges this summer to raise cash for three charities. Team MAX Power, named after the Max Suite suite business management software, is already busy in training for the charity races from Manchester to Liverpool (Sunday 25 May), Chester (Sunday 15 June) and Blackpool (Sunday 13 July).

Charities benefiting from Team Max Power will be the NSPCC (Liverpool), Kidscan (Chester) and The Christie (Blackpool).

“We have set ourselves a modest target at the moment but we want to exceed this and raise as much as we can for three really good causes. Any of our clients, suppliers or fellow hospitality retailers are more than welcome to join Team Max Power for any or all of the races this summer,” said GS Systems client support manager Rachel Gaunt, who will be riding with the team less than five months after giving birth to son William.

“Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will help support and fund charities that constantly need our support to help those less fortunate than ourselves,” said Rachel.

“We love a challenge at GS because we work with many of the biggest multiple hospitality names in the region. However, this is definitely out of our comfort zone. The races are at least 50 miles long and are taking place during the hottest part of the year with many of our team members new or novice road racers. Fortunately, we like working as one for the mutual benefit of all team members,” said GS Systems operations director Richard Tarran.

“Tackling the race on your own would be extremely tough – with a group of friends and work colleagues we not only share the exertions and workload but also the celebration of our mutual achievements afterwards,” said Rachel.
