Fine dining restaurants Manchester House and The French scooped top honours at Monday’s Manchester Food and Drink Festival awards. The two venues were pitted against each other in a raft of categories in the Manchester food awards, which were dished out at Manchester Town Hall. GS client Manchester House was the major winner – claiming a hat-trick of gongs – including Best Restaurant (taking over from The French, which won last year), Best Bar and Best Newcomer, while The French took the high profile Best Chef title for Adam Reid. It was great news for Aiden Byrne (Manchester House) and Simon Rogan (The French), who both attended the glittering award bash with their culinary teams.
