Manchester-based EPOS and digital technology specialists GS Systems is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the ALMR ‘Mind the Gap’ Autumn Debate in the city on 16 October 2014.

Hundreds of leading licensed hospitality industry experts will be at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall for the conference organised by the ALMR, which represents leading independent pub, bar and restaurant companies in UK.

As well as business presentations from knowledgeable hospitality commentators, two teams of retailers will lock horns for the ALMR’s Autumn Debate. They will look at the profitability of operating in London and the regions – and discuss who survives and who thrives.

In the evening, GS Systems will co-host the night’s entertainment giving delegates a chance to visit some of the city’s most innovative and exciting eating and drinking-out venues.

GS Systems Managing Director, Niels Nielsen said: “Although we operate nationally with clients across the UK, the north west is very much our heartland so it is great to welcome the ALMR to our backyard.”

“These occasions are great because they give everyone involved in the hospitality sector the opportunity to meet up and freely exchange ideas. I doubt if there is any other sector where everyone is more generous with sharing their knowledge and expertise. We’ve been involved with the ALMR for several years and it has been a really informative relationship to see the challenges operators face first hand.”

ALMR Chief Executive, Kate Nicholls said: “The ALMR is delighted to visit to Manchester for its Autumn Debate and to have GS on board to help us deliver a memorable 24 hours in the city. Licensed hospitality has been a fantastic driver of growth in the city and we look forward to showcasing some of the fantastic eating and drinking-out venues that have made, and continue to make, Manchester such an attractive place.”

Tickets for the ALMR event cost £129 and are available direct from the ALMR by contacting jcraig@almr.org or calling 0208 579 2080.
