London Night Czar Amy Lamé will be among the speakers at this year’s ALMR Spring Conference marking the 25th anniversary of the Association. The Conference, which takes place on 4 May at the Mermaid Theatre in London, will celebrate 25 years of the ALMR and will provides industry leaders with insight into the latest challenges and opportunities for the UK’s pioneering pubs, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

The Night Czar will discuss the capital’s innovative and dynamic late-night economy as delegates hear how the licensed hospitality market has changed over the past quarter of a century and how it is set to change over the next 25 years.

ALMR Chief Executive Kate Nicholls said: “This year’s ALMR Spring Conference will be a fantastic opportunity to assess the constantly-evolving pub and bar sector and look ahead at the challenges to come. We are particularly pleased to have Amy involved and the opportunity to hear from someone right at the heart of decision-making for venues in London. Amy has already been a strong advocate for the city’s late-night bars and music venues and this will be a fantastic opportunity to learn about the valuable work City Hall is doing to promote our sector.”

Night Czar, Amy Lamé, said: “I’m really looking forward to speaking at this year’s ALMR Spring Conference. The Mayor has made London’s night-time economy a real priority, and is taking steps to protect nightclubs, pubs, grassroots music venues and LGBT+ spaces. Now that the Night Tube is up and running in London, there are real opportunities for growth in the capital’s night-time economy and culture. I’m looking forward to sharing with you how I’m working to develop a vision of London as a 24-hour hub, something that cities across the UK can learn from.”
