Commenting on the Government’s response to its consultation on alcohol guidelines, ALMR Chief Executive Kate Nicholls said: “We are encouraged that the Government has taken note of consultation responses and recognized that these low risk guidelines should support the safe and enjoyable consumption of alcohol by the public instead of worrying them away through warnings. We agree with the Government not to include a single session limit and look forward to working in partnership with authorities to foster a ‘grown up’ outlook towards alcohol among the British public.”
