Manchester has been in the midst of a foodie boom over the last few years as the rate of restaurant openings shows no signs of slowing down, writes Emily Heward in the Manchester Evening News.
But in amongst all the exciting new arrivals on the city’s food and drink scene have inevitably been a few farewells.
Some have simply struggled to compete while others have blamed circumstances beyond their control such as the ongoing Metrolink works for their demise.
We took a look back at the city centre restaurants and bars we’ve said goodbye to over the first half of this year and those we’ll be losing soon.
