Inside Northern Quarter ‘rum-and-ribs’ bar Cane & Grain

Hospitality entrepreneur and GS Systems client Ross Mackenzie has been running bars and clubs in Manchester for more than two decades and his latest brand, Cane and Grain rum-and-ribs venue, sees three different bars into one prime spot in the city’s hip Northern Quarter. The Manchester Evening News headed down for a sneak preview of the bar and restaurant ahead of opening earlier this year and was seriously impressed with the look and feel of all three floors which Ross and his business partners Lyndon Higginson and Jobe Ferguson have transformed into the £600,000 new venue, which was formerly Thomas Restaurant.
