Our Story

A business born in the family home, GS Systems was the creation of B2B technology expert Bent Nielson alongside his two sons, Bjorn & Niels. Originally named ‘Grove Supplies’ in 1976, GS Systems has moved with modern business needs while utilising decades of first-hand experience. It was in 1980 that we first linked a PC with a till to streamline stock control and recipe management. And two years later, using our systems, Alton Towers became one of the first UK operators to connect cash registers to computers.

In 1991, with one of the North West’s most comprehensive cash register portfolios, GS Systems relocated from the family home to our Stockport-based showroom. Bent’s son, Niels, took the company reins in 2003 and continues to lead innovation, family values, and a customer-first approach.
